Brush Care Tips
Do not leave your brushes resting in water as
your bristles will bend and may never straighten out. It also softens the glue,
causing the bristles to come out.
When cleaning a brush for storage, use a bar
of soap or dish washing liquid. (Never use an anti-bacterial soap, as it will dissolve the
glue). Do this right after you have finished painting. Soap several times until you
no longer see any color on a white paper towel.
You can also deep clean with alcohol wipes
from the drug store. Open the wipe and fold over the bristle, and squeeze to fill
the brush and massage till clean. These wipes also work if you spill acrylic color
on your clothing.
Store your brushes, bristles up, in a
container or brush carrier.
