Confetti Ware

This is a great way to
use up left over Stroke & Coat® left on your palette. Allow
them to completely dry up then pick them off and crumble them up. If you
don't have time to wait for left overs…make some in a hurry by
squeezing out some Stroke & Coat® onto a pliece of aluminum
foil, place in a 300 degree oven amd bake for 20 minutes. Then just peel
it off and crumble.
What's so cool about this
project is the use of a Mayco specialty glaze. We use Mayco's Clear
Cascade™ PC-601 as our "glue". This will give the
confetti a little movement as it melts.
You can use the Series
2000™ glazes as the base or just brush on 3 good coats of any
color Stroke & Coat® as your base or foundation. Use the
soft fan brush to dab a thin coat of Clear Cascade™ and
sprinkle the dry bits on top into the wet "glue". Allow to
dry and fire to cone 06.
Some other fun ideas for
kids to decorate the Mayco Cup Cake box MB 869 or MB 870 Ice Cream Box
and use the dry confetti as if it were jimmies.
Use the Mayco Bisque
Tree dishes MB 990 & 991 paint green then add "ornaments"
or "lights" using the dry Stroke & Coat® over the
cascade.
Garden ornaments are cool
too, try using the tree toppers MB 1002 or 1003 or orniments MB 867,868
placed onto copper tubing or rebar to make the stakes.
The pieces pictured above
are done on Mayco's MB 128 Ice Cream Bowl over Hot Tamale and the MB 894
Funky Bowl over Tuxedo inside and Cotton Tail outside. |
